improve his studies which made him receive the highest grades for all his
subjects.
Having scored 380 points out of 400 on his national
college entrance examination, Jung Ki entered the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University. Because of his shy personality, his parents sent him to a variety
of classes, including acting classes, to improve his social skills.
During his sophomore year in college, Jung Ki's excellent academic record as a business administration major took a dip when he finally decided to pursue acting seriously.

2008 film A Frozen Flower, and then the following year; he appeared in the

| The Day of Song Jung Ki's Enlistment Aug-27-2013 |
Song Jung Ki has tried being a warrior, an aristocratic playboy, a werewolf, a butler, a martyr love-struck medical student and with his new role, he took the challenge to protect his country by enlisting to the army.
Appearing with his hair newly cropped, in accordance with military regulation, Jung Ki showed up at the military station an hour early to bid a final goodbye to his fans before starting his 21-month mandatory enlistment.
Jung Ki’s decision to fulfill his responsibility to Mandatory Service for army gained different reactions from his fans and supporters. Many of his Fan girls got their heart broken when the news of his enlistment spread out on the internet "medyo malungkot kasi hindi namin makikita si Song Jung Ki (Somewhat sad because we won't be able to see Song Jung Ki)"- Justine Joy Pacis, one of his fans.
While other feels devastated some think that enlisting for his mandatory service was a brave act "para sa akin nakakatuwa at ang tapang niya kasi yung iba ayaw at gumagawa ng paraan para hindi sila matuloy sa army (For me it is a good thing and he is courageous because others makes way to be excused )" from an avid fan Katrina Perfecto.

In South Korea, all eligible males between the ages of 18 and 35 must enroll for between 21 and 24 months of army service (the length of mandatory enrollment changes by several months depending on which branch of the military that they serve in) in a practice known as conscription.
Song Jung Ki's enlistment to the mandatory service is one big choice to make, most specially that he is in his peak of his career. Not all the Korean celebrities who came back after their military duty had the chance to go back to the entertainment world. But I believe that with the help of Song Jung Ki's fans and with his natural ability to charm every people, two years is too short for him to be forgotten and with his great acting skills, he'll be back with a bang!
