Fox News Channel (FNC) also known as Fox News remain as the most trusted news channel in America based on the poll conducted by Left leaning Huffington Post.

Looking back from the past, Fox News channel started as an American basic cable and satellite news television channel. It is owned by the Fox Entertainment group subsidiary to 21st Century Fox and was created by an Australian-American media mogul Rupert Murdoch.Fox News Channel was launched on October 7, 1996 with over 17 million cable subscriber across the state and even grew during the late 1900's and 2000s' and became the dominant cable news network in the United States.

FNC presents a variety of programming,with up to 15 hours of live broadcasting per day in addition to programming and content for the fox Broadcasting Company. Most of the Fox News programs are broadcast to from their headquarters in New York City using "Fair and Balanced" as their trademark slogan.

FNC started to gain its audiences' trust during the early stages of the Iraq Conflict, they had a large jump on rating. According to some reports , Fox News had as much as a 30-percent increase in viewership (averaging 3.3 million viewers daily). In 2004, FNC's ratings for its broadcast of the Republican National Convention exceeded the three major broadcast networks. During President George W. Bush's address, Fox News attracted 7.3 million viewers nationally, which completely out act NBC, ABC and CBS. It is in late 2005 and early 2006 when NFC saw A brief decline on their ratings. One was when Fox News lost viewers for every prime time program with their previous quarter but after several weeks, in the wake of the North Korea Missile crisis and the 2006 Lebanon war Fox saw a surge in viewership and remained as the number one-rated cable news channel.

FNC ranked eight in viewership among all cable channels in 2006, and number six in 2007. The Channel ranked number one during the week of Barack Obama's election in 2008 and reached the top spot again in January 2010 during the week of the special Senate election in Massachusetts. Comparing Fox to its 24-hour-news channel competitor, the channel drew an average daily prime time audience of 1.8 million viewers.

And now 2013, according to the poll conducted by Left leaning Huffington Post, Fox News is America's choice for trustworthy news.The survey questions were based on the Boston Marathon Bombing. During the poll, which was based on interviews of 1000 adults, the bad news for CNN began when people were asked how believable the news from that channel during the Boston bombings and the biggest response was 35 percent saying that they don't watch CNN. However, the survey brought good news to Fox News Channel which had a 50 percent rating in the categories "very" and "somewhat" believable. In both total day and prime time totals for the week of April 15-21 Fox beat out cable powerhouses like the USA Network, History Channel, A&E and Nickelodeon. Fox News beat out all other cable programming in total viewership.
