A country’s government serves as
the protector of its citizens, protection to all that attempts to abuse and bring
anarchy into the nation against foreign countries.
Government people are the ones forming and implementing
rules, regulations and programs that would help citizens to improve and live their
life comfortably. But would the citizens really progress when the people who
oath to help for the improvement does the opposite?
Recently, news about a huge scam involving
big names from the congress spread throughout the country. Huge amount of money
was involved saying that it was allotted to several non-government
organizations for priority development projects of the Philippine government,
mostly on the local level. These
projects were in turn "implemented" through certain companies, with
the projects producing no tangible output.

| Confirmation in the Participation on the Implementation of Programs |
Some of the expected projects were livelihood programs.
Livelihood programs are one of the
means of securing the basic necessities of life such as food, water, shelter
and clothing and every country has its own organizations and concerned persons
to ensure that these necessities are met by the people.
The Implementation of these livelihood
programs is one of the hopes of nation's people to rise from poverty and sickness
and enjoy the right to comfortable living, but how can we rise and advance if we
are abused by our own people? By our own leaders? The leaders whom we expect to
get help from?
We must learn from these mistakes. Big
things come from small things. This upcoming Barangay election, let’s not be
dazed by a short amount of money for a short time mirth, let’s be more ambitious
and think more of the future. Let’s choose the best fit for the privilege of
being on the seat and help our country reach the peak.
